Facebook Ad Interest Hunter for EngineScout

In 2018, EngineScout co-founder Jonathan Gorham wanted a tool that would uncover hidden Facebook ad interests, ones not visible in the default Ads Manager UI. The goal was to give his agency an edge in audience targeting. We built and launched a simple, powerful web tool that not only solved the problem, but ended up becoming a viral hit in the marketing community.

Facebook’s native Ads Manager often hides many interest-based targeting options. Marketers were missing out on valuable audience segments simply because they weren’t searchable in the default interface.

Solution

We developed a standalone web tool (still live) that queries the Facebook Marketing API and returns hidden interests based on the user’s keyword input.
